No Ordinary Wildflower FAQ 2

Out of all the places you could be right now, thank you for choosing to be here. Today I want to tell you a little more about my second book in the “Unexpected Love” series, “No Ordinary Wildflower.” The cover was inspired by the character Rachel from the story. A fun fact about this character is that her name was originally Sarah, in my first manuscript version. After reading other books and doing some research, I changed it to Rachel because Sarah had been used a lot. I sent my cover designer from Elite Authors a description of the book. I sent them a picture of the dress I wanted her to wear that was fitting for a girl who lived and worked on a farm in the 1940’s. I also sent them pictures of fields of wildflowers that I wanted her to be standing in. I told them I wanted the cover to have a young blond-haired woman in a similar field of wildflowers. They once again did a fantastic job! They gave me exactly what I wanted.

Those of you who have read the story know where the title came from, which happens to be one of my favorite scenes from the book. Another element in this story is that we see our beloved Abigail as more vulnerable than she was in the first book, “I’ll See You on Friday.” However, she stays true to the character we’ve come to know and love. This book is a sweet romance about loving and accepting people for who they are.

For those interested, I have a 31-day devotional that will be available for pre-order soon (it is planned for release in October). I am also currently working on the third and final book in the “Unexpected Love” series. I’m hoping to release it in January 2023.
